  • It never ceases to amaze me that people just drop everything they are familiar with and come here to the US.

    Amazing. And really very brave!

  • silly boy... thinking bags under chairs in airports is fine.. what are you, foreign? that explains the accent ;)

i like em. Even if you're worried that your non-posted videos are bad, they have still gotta be good since these are so good.
did that make sense? I'll clear it up in class...

  • I thought you were going to end up telling a story about your bags and the mafia.

You know, your English is pretty great. I think you're being hard on yourself ;)

  • this is great.
you seem like a great person to have a drink with.
i am thrilled to hear you say you could not have been happier at the moment you found your bags.
see, the trick to being truly american, is the bitterness you would hold on to, once your bag was found. americans would typically complain about everything and still want more in the end.

  • It's rare to be interested in the life of someone you have never met and dont know, but your story is fascinating! i'm british but lived in kosova for 8months, so i had to learn as much albanian as i could - your english is great.

  • I felt the same way the first time I went to NYC. Being an international student studying in the US myself, I can really empathize with a lot of what you've gone through moving away from home and such.

  • I love this story, partly because you are so funny, Andrei, and partly because I remember taking that same FinnAir flight from Helsinki to New York, and thinking that the Helsinki airport was the most beautiful airport I have ever seen (and I have been through lots of airports). Everything was bright and clean and white, with glass ceilings and walls everywhere. We were there for six or seven hours and it was like being in a completely different world. Your story brings it all back to me.

And your English is considerably better than my Russian, that's for sure.
